Wasting our lives and glorifying God

Wasting our lives and glorifying God
Notice God's unutterable waste of saints, according to the judgment of the world. God plants His saints in the most useless places. We say - God intends me to be here because I am so useful. Jesus never estimated His life along the line of the greatest use. God puts His saints where they will glorify Him, and we are no judges at all of where that is. ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest, August 10

Cuddling

When we first wake up in the morning I call the kids by saying, "Jesus is calling."  And they drag their tired selves to the living room where we read "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young.  Then I put on some soft music and everyone finds a place to be by themselves for about 15 minutes--reading the Bible and prayer.  The little kids who do not yet read have a prayer book with pictures to help them focus for a few minutes.  But, we don't have enough prayer books to go around.so I usually give Saraa a crucifix or an icon to hold.

This morning it was chilly so she wrapped herself in a blanket and tucked her cross in with her and said, "Mom, I'm going to cuddle Jesus."

I have a feeling Jesus liked that.

Oh my word how sweet ! She and the others will never forget this "training". They will never stray very far from the Shepherd's voice.

That is so something Rhema or Dov would say. That's so sweet.

Daja, I enjoy your site, but this gets to me:

1.please, still sign your name. 2. Be kind.

but also, "We love comments like Obama loves teleprompters."

Is that kind?

Kindness is not the opposite of wit.
