Wasting our lives and glorifying God

Wasting our lives and glorifying God
Notice God's unutterable waste of saints, according to the judgment of the world. God plants His saints in the most useless places. We say - God intends me to be here because I am so useful. Jesus never estimated His life along the line of the greatest use. God puts His saints where they will glorify Him, and we are no judges at all of where that is. ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest, August 10

My Lenten Song

I have been rockin' this song for three days.  It instantly puts me in an amazing mood!

Sing it Vestal!

(I gotta get me one of those hankies.)  I am one of the few of my generation who has a true appreciation for this old-time Gospel music.

The kids like this song as well, but wondered at some of what it meant.  Explaining it to them, I realized that this is sort of my Lent song.  Laying aside some lesser things, making my journey a little lighter, pressing on, gotta make it heaven somehow.

If I could still I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now.

It makes me smile, but is DEFINITELY not my style of music. BUT I do love that YOU love it. :)
