Wasting our lives and glorifying God

Wasting our lives and glorifying God
Notice God's unutterable waste of saints, according to the judgment of the world. God plants His saints in the most useless places. We say - God intends me to be here because I am so useful. Jesus never estimated His life along the line of the greatest use. God puts His saints where they will glorify Him, and we are no judges at all of where that is. ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest, August 10

Things not to say to Mommy in her third trimester....

The four year old: Wow, Mom!  Your underwear is really, really big.

~

The husband: Are you sure you can drive?  Can you fit behind the steering wheel?

~

The ten year old, watching me get ready to go out, as I'm putting on my heels: Wow!  Do your feet still fit in those?

~
The seven year old: Mom, when you have the baby, does your stomach ever go back to being small?  I can't remember.

Haha. These made me laugh! I'm in my third trimester as well. My son told me I needed bigger pants and then asked me (after I had gone shopping), if I had remembered to get the bigger pants.....we then had a talk about what's appropriate to say :).

things TO say:

You look wonderful!
Can I get you a tea?
Do you want the laundry line-dryed or machine-dryed?
How do you like your eggs?

I LOVE that you're in your third trimester again! :) LOVE! So excited that God keeps on blessing you with babies! Love the kids' quotes though, lol!

I am in my 2nd trimester, and after 6 boys I am finally having a GIRL!!!! :D Could not be more ecstatic, much as I would have treasured a 7th son.

I adore big, obedient-to-God families! :)
