Wasting our lives and glorifying God

Wasting our lives and glorifying God
Notice God's unutterable waste of saints, according to the judgment of the world. God plants His saints in the most useless places. We say - God intends me to be here because I am so useful. Jesus never estimated His life along the line of the greatest use. God puts His saints where they will glorify Him, and we are no judges at all of where that is. ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest, August 10

Baby naming decisions

Saraa told me this afternoon that the baby is a boy and that his name is......

*drumroll*

Brie.

I'd really like to believe that she's absorbed some of our family literature reading lately and is naming the baby after a little village in The Fellowship Of The Rings or after a Talking Horse in the The Horse and His Boy, both of which are named Bree.  I can imagine that Tolkien or Lewis would be so proud.

BUT, I'm fairly certain she wants to name the baby after her favorite cheese, which we enjoyed as an afternoon snack.

Yes! Name him Brie! Then think of a really cheesy nickname for him!

(ok, I couldn't resist writing that... sorry...)

That is awesome.

I *LOVE* The Horse and His Boy, by the way. My fave of the Narnia Chronicles.

Lol. Speaking of food names; our youngest decided he wants to name the new baby "dumpying" (i.e. dumpling).
