Wasting our lives and glorifying God

Wasting our lives and glorifying God
Notice God's unutterable waste of saints, according to the judgment of the world. God plants His saints in the most useless places. We say - God intends me to be here because I am so useful. Jesus never estimated His life along the line of the greatest use. God puts His saints where they will glorify Him, and we are no judges at all of where that is. ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest, August 10

Yep, it's true.

At a recent church luncheon, I was collecting enough dessert for my whole family.  As I stacked up cookies on a napkin I said to one of my lady pastors, "These aren't all for me, by the way.  They're for the whole family."  I was hoping no one thought I was going to eat 8 cookies (although I certainly could if they were tasty).  She laughed and said, "You're breastfeeding!  Take as many as you want, you deserve it!"  I replied, "Well, I've been breastfeeding for nine years.  Someday I'll have to stop using that excuse."

Yes, you read that correctly.  It's not a typo.  I have been breastfeeding for more than 9 years--with about a two month break between Belgee and Saraa.

It's not an excuse. It's a calling. :)
