Wasting our lives and glorifying God

Wasting our lives and glorifying God
Notice God's unutterable waste of saints, according to the judgment of the world. God plants His saints in the most useless places. We say - God intends me to be here because I am so useful. Jesus never estimated His life along the line of the greatest use. God puts His saints where they will glorify Him, and we are no judges at all of where that is. ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest, August 10

On the Roman Road.....Or Train Tracks.....

Railpasses do not give you reservations.  You still have to make seat reservations if you want a seat.  OR you can just hop on board and take whatever empty space you can find.  So, we are sitting in the corridor of the train.  But, actually, we enjoyed that.  We got to take in all the views.

We took this mountain pictures for the kids.
It looks like the Mortmain Mountains from The Series of Unfortunate Events,
which we had just read as a family.
But, actually these moutains are quarried (for granite, I think).

This reminds me of the Central Coast where I grew up!
For those that have been there, doesn't this look like it was taken off Highway 46?

My faithful readers, we are almost to Rome!  You have waited a long time for these pictures!  Stay tuned!

Yes, it most certainly does look like out Highway 46! Beautiful countryside. I've heard our area compared to the Mediterranean area many times. I need to go there so I can verify.
